How to eliminate the mistiotia digital parasite from your Mac

This parasite disguises itself as a system notification when it is really just a browser notification.

To eliminate it, follow these steps:

In Safari, go to Preferences.
Select the Notifications tab.
You will see the system notification symbol.
You could simply "Deny" it the ability to show notifications, but it's best to remove it altogether with the Remove button on the bottom.

Voila, it's gone!
